Pendulum DCOF Floor Slip Testing
A pendulum DCOF slip test is highly recommended for most projects for reliable slip resistance testing results. We can conduct the BS EN 16165, HB 198, AS/NZS 4663, AS 4586, or EN 13036-4 pendulum test to assess a dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF) for flooring of all types. We can also conduct an ASTM E303 pendulum DCOF test, which was updated in 2022. Reports come with recommendations from the Australian HB198, which gives different recommended minimum pendulum test values for different areas. For instance, a pool deck will require a different minimum DCOF value than a lobby or a food court or a commercial kitchen. The test method (and our report to you) will include these recommendations based on what the intended use of the flooring will be. We only need one sample to conduct a pendulum test, and it needs to be at least 5″x7″ (larger is fine), but we prefer to get three samples in case there are differences between samples. Here is more information on pendulum slip testing.
The charge is $265.00 per sample. Turnaround time for laboratory testing is usually 2-3 days. Here is a sample of the report you will receive via email for an ASTM E303-22 pendulum DCOF test. You can pay by credit card, Paypal, send a check with your sample, or wire transfer. We need to know the name of the client (for the purpose of the report), how you would like the sample named, and we need an email address to send the report to. Your report will be certified and stamped by a registered Professional Engineer. You can also pay for the test online by clicking the “Pay Now” button below, and then just send the info along with your samples to:
