ANSI B101.1 SCOF Slip Test

The ANSI B101.1 static coefficient of friction (SCOF) slip resistance test is similar to the now-withdrawn ASTM C 1028-07 SCOF test, and uses the BOT-3000E digital tribometer. B101.1 was allowed to expire as an active standard around 2015. Static wet COF testing is not recommended for assessing pedestrian safety and slip risk, but some specifiers and inspectors may still require this sort of skid test. We only require one sample to conduct this test and the sample only needs to be 4″x4″, but providing samples that are 12″x12″ makes testing them more representative. Larger samples can also be tested.

The charge is $265.00 per sample. Turnaround time for laboratory testing is usually 2-3 business days. You can pay by credit card, Paypal, send a check with your sample, or wire transfer. We need to know the name of the client (for the purpose of the report), how you would like the sample named, and we need an email address to send the report promptly. Your report will be certified and stamped by a registered Professional Engineer. You can also pay for the test online by clicking the “Pay Now” button below, and then just send the info along with your samples (carefully packed) to:
