Here is an independent third party slip test of SparkleTuff. This is a slip resistant floor coating like no other. It’s a new generation of floor coatings that will last and last and last, with UV protection, chemical, stain, and scratch resistance like nothing else available worldwide. We created this anti-slip floor coating using reliable, internationally-approved science and a desire to create floors that look great and stop slips!

When tested dry with the pendulum, SparkleTuff™ Anti-Slip Floor Coating has the same slip resistance as an NBA basketball floor as specified by ASTM. When tested dry using ASTM C 1028 apparatus and a leather slider, SparkleTuff™ Anti-Slip Floor Coating had a static coefficient of friction (SCOF) of 0.85. Tested with the BOT-3000E dry with a leather slider, its SCOF was 0.77. Both are well above the minimum of 0.50 SCOF required of a floor finish, polish or “wax” under ASTM D2047, which is a dry test using a leather slider. None of these SCOF tests should be used as a reliable safety assessment, but it passes any safety tests with flying colors!

Because it has sustainable wet slip resistance, both SparkleTuff™ Anti-Slip Floor Coatings retain good dry and wet slip resistance even after hundreds of thousands of people have walked across it. Most anti-slip floor treatments involve either an acid etch or a water-based coating. Both are temporary solutions that will need to be applied again and again. SparkleTuff™ Anti-Slip Floor Coating will last for a decade or more in most situations.
