The BOT-3000 (Binary Output Tribometer) can measure both static and dynamic coefficient of floor friction on a variety of test sliders in both wet and dry conditions. The BOT-3000 provides a printed record of test parameters and results which can strengthen courtroom credibility. Available with sliders of Neolite, SBR, Four S, TRL and hosiery. The BOT-3000 conforms to American National Standard B101.1, "Test Method for Measuring Wet SCOF of Common Hard-Surfaced Floor Materials"

Dr. Jens Sebald of the University of Wuppertal (Germany) tested the BOT-3000 against traction of actual walking humans, with 72 test points including 12 surfaces, two different lubricants, and and three shoe bottom materials. The correlation coefficient of 0.93 with the BOT-3000 proved excellent correlation. This is the most thorough and close correlation of measured human traction with any available tribometer.

The BOT-3000 is calibrated by Regan Scientific and manufactured near the Dallas, Texas airport in a facility that is certified for its quality management system under ISO 9001:2000.
